After two matches in the Champions League group stage, Graham Potter’s side have only managed a single point from a possible six. A win against Milan on Wednesday would give them a great chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
Potter, who is in his 47th season as a professional coach, knows that a win against Milan would put his side in a strong position to qualify. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stated that it was a must-win game, and he believes that the team will need to show the same character that they showed against Crystal Palace.
Before the match against Milan, the head coach of Chelsea was asked if it was a must-win for his side. He said they would do everything in their power to get a result against the Italian side.
We’re going to try to win the game and do it at home,” said the German international. It’s important for us to get the crowd behind us and play well. However, it’s also important to maintain a good atmosphere against Milan.
N’Golo Kante is expected to be available for selection after recovering from a hamstring injury, while Marc Cucurella is also expected to return. Kai Havertz and Jorginho picked up knocks, and they will be assessed ahead of the match.
