2024 presidential candidate Duduzane Zuma, South African businesswoman Norma Mngoma and Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list-maker Zareef Minty were in attendance for the launch of The South African Dream by Tracey Reign.
The book showcases the biggest and most influential minds in the country and allows them to share their South African dream.
“I really enjoy the chapter that was written by Norma Mngoma, she talks about the fact that South Africa is not a dream for anyone to live in until women are treated fairly and are safe within in the country.” Says Tracey
Duduzane was the key note speaker at the launch where he opened up his talk with a recitation of the South African anthem after which he shared his South African dream with the audience.
Some of the other contributors included Mduduzi Manana, Buti Manamela, John Steenhuisen and Khanyi Mbau with Duduzane Zuma having one of the longest chapters in the book.
“Another chapter I found interesting was that of Duduzane Zuma. He spoke about a true South African dream is only a dream when everyone has equal opportunities, when people are not influenced by someone’s background to get opportunities regardless of race, culture or religion.” Says Reign
The book is tipped to be a best seller in South Africa. This comes just after the conclusion of the 2021 municipal elections.
The book is expected to hit bookstores in the next week and will be available at all major book stores nationwide.
