According to the report released by the Zondo commission, state capture resulted in the loss of over R57 billion in public funds. The Gupta family, which is alleged to have been involved in state capture, reportedly made a profit of over R15 billion. In his final report, Chief Justice Raymond Zondo stated that the state haemorrhaged R57 912 379.34 billion during the Gupta era.
