With more categories and nominees than ever before, 2023 SASMA ceremony looks to be one for the record books. In addition to recognizing excellence, the SASMAs bestow awards on individuals, campaigns, and digital tools in social media. We also recognize that carefully chosen social media content gives creatives a chance to gain followers; therefore, we will let the followers make their own decisions. Making sure that the awards ceremony has a different theme every year is one of the fundamental components that was intended when the SASMAs were first established. The theme for this year is “Redefining your brand” as a result.
The notable Mihlali Ndamase, Zakes Batwini, Teko Modise, Kay Yarms, Chad Jones, and Marcia Monareng are just a few of the previous year’s winners. There will be 34 categories in the 2023 SASMAs, each with five nominees.
The categories include the Best , Fashion, Travel, Fitness, Dancer, Photographer influencers of the year, as well as Most popular Podcast, Hashtag to mention just a few.
Since her father, also known as AKA, tragically passed away in February outside of a Durban restaurant, Kairo Forbes has been the recipient of multiple awards. A young child won the SASMAs for Social Media Kid Influencer of the Year.
Miss Forbes accepted her first award this past weekend in front of her friends, giving a sweet acceptance speech.
